Tuesday, August 27, 2019Betty and I worked together at the Frame Center, Chili Plant, Bausch & Lomb, until all the manufacturing was sent to Mexico .I have pictures of us and the cake they had for Betty and me at the plant before we left. After that, our friends at the Frame Center had a lovely party on a boat on the canel. Betty and I drove to Florida shortly after our retirement and stayed with my mom and dad in New Port Richey and then I drove her south and her son met us and she spent time with him. One thing we all know is that Betty was left handed, however, Betty hit a baseball and golf ball right handed and could she ever hit it. We tried to get together at least once a month with her special friends, Joanne Manioci and Stell Phielshifter and after I moved to Florida I made them promise they would do the same and not let the friendship go a stray. They did that until Betty's passing. She would call me or I her, at least once a month and keep me informed about her cancer and her get togethers with Joanne and Stella. I find it hard that I can no longer pick up the phone and say, hello, how you doing. She is missed.

Sunday, August 25, 2019To her sons, I had some of you in 4th or 5th grades. Your mom was a sweet, caring woman who never complained about anything. She grew to be a friend. Kim, I had you also, UR mom bought my daughter’s flute. Do you still play. Betty was a hard worker and she cherished all her family. It was a pleasure to know such a fine, wonderful, caring Mom. Safe Journey, home. Last time I saw her was in B’port at a dr.’s office. Sweet woman. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Bet Newsome

Saturday, August 24, 2019We are saddened to hear of Bettys passing, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. In memories of Betty, she was always surrounded by family, talking about her boys, or her grandchildren with a proud smile on her face. She was always present and full of spunk!
